A Chief Executive Officer oversees service provision at Ashleigh House, The Brenda Burditt Manor, and the Independent Living Units. The CEO is responsible for driving the Strategic Plan of the organisation and reports to a locally managed, community based, not-for-profit Board of Directors.
The Leadership Team consists of a Clinical Care Manager, who looks after the residential clinical care services of Ashleigh House. The Business Manager is responsible for admissions and contracts management for the Independent Living Units and Ashleigh House – and oversees the accounts operations.
The Services Manager looks after Lifestyle Activities, Maintenance, and Food Services for Ashleigh House and the Independent Living Units.
The Projects Manager is responsible for the implementation and execution of projects for the Independent Living Units and Ashleigh House.
We offer a range of services, including 24-hour nursing care, assistance with daily activities (such as bathing, dressing, and eating), meal preparation, medication management, housekeeping, and recreational activities. Specialised services, such as dementia care, I available in the Manor (also known as Brenda Burditt Manor.
Meals are prepared by our professional kitchen staff and are designed to meet the nutritional needs of our residents. We can accommodate various dietary requirements, including vegetarian, diabetic, and gluten-free diets. Family members are encouraged to discuss any specific needs with the Services Manager.
Yes, residents are encouraged to bring personal items, such as photographs, furniture, and decorations, to make their space feel like home. Our staff can assist with arranging the room to ensure it meets safety and comfort standards.
Rooms vary in size, and are generally provided with an electric chair, T.V, single hospital bed, and chest of drawers. All rooms are private with ensuite and wardrobe.
We offer a variety of activities and social programs designed to keep residents engaged and active. These include arts and crafts, music therapy, fitness classes, gardening, and outings to local areas for lunch’s, entertainment or walks.
Our Lifestyle Team works to create a schedule that caters to the interests of our residents.
Family and friends are welcome to visit at any time – day or night.

The fees can differ from respite care to permanent care, and there is steps families and residents can take to prepare themselves for any extra costs associated.
The fee’s for respite is known as the Basic Daily Care fee, and goes up a little each year in March and September – it is set at 85% of the aged care pension.
We offer tours of our aged care facility that incorporates the Manor (memory support unit). Please call us on 51 444484 to organise a tour, or email admin@ashleighhouse.com.au.
We don’t offer tours of our Independent Living Units. This is due to our large waiting list and respecting the privacy of our existing residents, who enjoy a quiet lifestyle. When a unit becomes available, the Business Manager reviews the waitlist preferences, and contacts individuals based on their length of wait time.
The independent living units are available by either rental, or once-off deposit over a ten-year fixed price contract (with an additional charge of a monthly maintenance fee).
