A Day of Reflection and Fun: Remembrance Day and Bowling
At Ashleigh House, Remembrance Day was marked with a simple yet meaningful service held in the lounge. The morning began with a shared morning tea, providing a moment of connection and conversation. Residents then gathered together to watch the Remembrance Day service on the ABC, creating a beautiful and reflective atmosphere as we honoured those who served and sacrificed.
Later in the day, the mood shifted to one of lighthearted fun as residents headed to the Sale Bowls Club for an afternoon of bowling. The big green proved to be the perfect setting for some friendly competition and skilful play. While the residents showcased their talents, it was the staff’s bowls that mostly found their way into the gutter, adding plenty of laughter to the day.
The combination of a reflective morning and a joyful afternoon made for a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.
